Samsung YP-T6X

When a song is playing, pressing either to the left or right on the "M" button (To skip back/forth to next/previous track) will result in the player turning off.  A moment later it turns itself back on and begins playing the last song played from previous listening session.  HELP ME PLEASE!!!

The "M" button left and right operate properly when used in other menus/modes (For example, when navigating folders and options)

Hey first off - what firmware version are you currently using?

Also, have you done a search for this in the forum? It sounds familiar, possibly an issue with the MT6 for someone recently.

This sometimes happens on my mt6 if I have tried to fast-forward or rewind a VBR file.  Sometimes just deleting the files from the player will fix the problem.  Otherwise I have to reflash the firmware.

ok i have the same player but the canadian edition. I had the same problem also. In my case.. the unit would turn itself off then back on. I had no radio nor was i able to record voice. The minute i touch the M button the unit would shut off. I removed the  mp3 file that was causeing this and the unit was ok. I even put back the original mp3 that gave me the problem and it worked ok, until i put some new mp3's. Then the problem started again. I updated the firmware 2.21 (i got it from the samsung) and still the same problem. I returned it to the store that i bought it from and got a new one

The new unit worked ok.. but after 2 weeks it started again shut off and rebooting for no reason. The only way to shut the unit off is to remove the battery, or remove all your mp3's from the unit.. put them on your hard drive then just re-upload them onto the unit again. As far as i'm concerned there is something wrong with this player. Some kind of corruption when it's stores it's mp3's

I'm debating now wether i should just return it and get another mp3... but i don't think i'll be getting the same one.

I'm having a similar problem.  I just recorded a CD directly into the player.  I now have limited navigation ability eg. can't get FM, it reboots itself, can't turn it off...any suggestions?

What I've found is that navigating a VBR (especially WMA) file seems to slowly corrupt the firmware.  Reflashing the firmware corrects the problem.

I did flash the firmware version 2.21. I still had the problem. However i also flashed it with 2.27, it's been ok so far with this firmware, no reboots and stuff. But i hear that firmware 2.27 has a song limit problem. Anyhow day 4 now and firmware 2.27 so far seems to solve the reboot problem.
